Hi all! RSBAC v1.0.9-pre5 for kernels 2.2.11 and 2.2.12 is out in http://www.compuniverse.com/rsbac/pre. Features: - New REG model: Access control module Registration: Access control with flexible kernel modules. (from pre1) - Changed RC model to request level granularity (unchanged from pre4) - New Access Control List (ACL) model mostly finished: - ACLs on FILE, DIR, DEV targets with request granularity - Special rights Access_Control, Forward and Supervisor - Subject types USER, RC_ROLE and ACL_GROUP (currently only group Everyone) - Complete inheritance, restricted by optional masks (Supervisor right can only be masked out, if allowed in kernel config) - One default ACL per target type on top of inheritance hierarchy - Powerful but easy to use command line administration tools - ACL backup with restore scripts via normal tools Please consider this pre-version as near to release 1.0.9 and *please* try it - if I do not get any feedback, hidden bugs in the final release are more likely to happen. Specially Netware experts should have a closer look. Things likely to happen soon, though maybe not before final release: - ACL support for SCD targets - ACL administration menues - ACL group management and administration Amon. -- ## CrossPoint v3.11 ## - To unsubscribe from the rsbac list, send a mail to majordomo@morpork.shnet.org with unsubscribe rsbac as single line in the body.
