Hi! 1.0.9b-pre1 is uploaded. It includes the already posted bugfixes, some minor addons (check on boot) and the first part of 2.3.42 support. Attention: Admin tools have to be recompiled when switching between 2.2 and 2.3 series due to limited syscall numbers. The attributes are (and will be) fully compatible, though. pre1 is fully functional with 2.3.42, but limited to 16 bit uids/gids and old syscalls, which are used by all older programs anyway. To do: - add 32 Bit uid/gid support: this will need a new binary on-disk version, so at the first 1.0.9b-pre2 boot there will be an irreversible upconversion. Also, special uid values might be changed during upconvert, e.g. rsbac_no_user, rsbac_all_users. Of course you can prevent writing of upconverted binaries to disk by setting RSBAC_NO_WRITE in kernel config, as usual. - hook the new syscalls in 2.3.42: 32 Bit setuid etc. - support for other archs (alpha, ppc, sparc?) Amon. -- ## CrossPoint v3.11 ## - To unsubscribe from the rsbac list, send a mail to majordomo@morpork.shnet.org with unsubscribe rsbac as single line in the body.
