Hello, with a bit of persistence I have a partly working system now. (2.4.0-test12 on RH7) Some questions. Programs such as atd and crond drop privs on startup. It seems that they also want to re-acquire root privs to run scripts on behalf of users. Does this mean that they have to be AUTH'd for setuid? Does su have to be AUTH'd for setuid? After getting identd to run I'm now getting ACL errors. Gettif_request() request EXECUTE ... target type NONE tid NONE attr prot_bits value 7 , result NOT_GRANTED by ACL. So what is identd trying to do? it doesn't say what file it was trying to access. Any help gratefully received.
