Ok Amon, I've been trying on another machine. (Still using pre7)
No SMP this time, no SCSI,  but still RH7.

It crashed, so I started going through the config, removing stuff piece b=
y
piece.

I have no conclusion yet, however the crash is no longer fatal, since it
occurs in the separate thread.
It survives long enough  to be shut down.

The interesting point is that it does not always crash! at present it wil=
l
crash about half the time.

I will carry on removing stuff next week.

During the weekend, I hope to install my first Debian system (2.2) and (w=
ith
luck) i'll put RSBAC on it.

And sure, don't wait on me to go to the next release..
